VPN Client Installation & Configuration Guide

VPN is a means employed by Assumption University to enable students. faculty and staff members from outside campus to access the Library's online databases. All user need to do is to have AU's IP address to access them. For this reason, from anywhere outside the campuses, you need to install the VPN Client, which will connect you securely to our systems, and you will be able to go to the online databases at http://www.library.au.edu/public.html.

Note: If you use AU Modem, you don't need to use the VPN Client to access the Online Database, and while you are using AU Modem, you will not be able to use the VPN Client,at all.

To access the Library's ONLINE DATABASES from outside campus, you need to do 6 things:

1. Verify that your Internet Account is activated and the password is correct. Call 0-2300-4543 Ext. 3333 for assistance.
2. Download VPN Client by opening http://www.au.edu and login using the Internet Account in 1.
3. Install the VPN Client
4. Configure the VPN Client
5. Connect to the VPN server as configured in 4
6. Open http://www.library.au.edu/public.html and test whether you could go to the online databases.
