The
Residence Hall Network provides ABAC Suvarnabhumi Campus students with high-speed
Ethernet connections, software, documentation and support. Here at Suvarnabhumi Campus, students are required to own a computer. Registration is not
required in order to have an Ethernet connection. A computer which falls
within the specifications supported on the campus, and which has a properly
installed Ethernet card configured to use DHCP will automatically be able
to establish an Ethernet connection from any jack in the residence hall
buildings.
Steps for connecting to Campus Network
- Make
sure your computer meets the minimum specifications required to connect
to the campus network.
- Make sure you have a LAN cable for Ethernet
(RJ45). If you are faculty or staff, you may request for LAN
cable at Office of Information Technology Services (C7 for Huamark and IT Building 3Floor for Suvarnabhumi).
- Make sure you have a properly installed Ethernet
card.
If you do
have a properly installed Ethernet card, plug one end of the Ethernet
cable into your computer and the other end into the jack.
If you do not have a properly installed Ethernet card, you can install
the adapter and software by yourself if you feel comfortable doing this.
If at any point you need assistance, contact Office of Information Technology at C7 for HuaMak Campus
(02-300-4543-62 ext.3607-8) and IT Building 3Floor for Suvarnabhumi Campus(02-723-2837
or Ext. 3333).
