| Step
1: Open Address Book |
From the Eudora main screen, select Tools / Address Book. The
keyboard shortcut for this action is <Ctrl>L. You will see
Eudora's Address Book display, but it contains no entries.
| Step
2: Add an Entry Manually |
Click the New button to start the addition of a new entry. Notice
that it calls the name field "Nickname." There is only
a single name field. Of course you can put multiple names in the
field, separated by spaces. But Eudora alphabetizes on this single
field. So you'll need to put last names first if you want the
entries to appear in last name order. Call the entry "Mom"
and click OK.

| Step
3: Enter the Email Address |
We are returned to Eudora's Address Book screen, but this time
it's ready to accept an email address for Mom. Type in an email
address.
| Step
4: Enter Notes |
Click the Notes tab. Each entry in the address book has this space
for notes to yourself, which the computer never uses for anything.
You can enter mailing addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, anything
you want to remember about the person you're entering into the
address book. Type something here if you wish. For purposes of
the examples, enter another sample entry called Bilbo Baggins,
by clicking New again, and give it a sample email address.
| Step
5: Close the Address Book |
Select File / Save, and then click the lower X to close the Address
Book window. If you try to close the address book without saving
first, Eudora warns you and gives you another chance to save your
changes. You will be returned to the list of emails in your In
box.
