| Step
1: Open a Message |
Before you complete these tutorials, download your incoming messages.
See the tutorial "Reply or Forward" in the series "Checking
and Sending." Open the first message you want to read by
double clicking it.

2: Move the Message |
After you have read the message, select Transfer / Newsletters
to send the message to the Newsletters mailbox you created earlier.
It is this simple step of organization that prevents your In box
from getting cluttered.

3: Read and Discard |
As you read your messages, there will be some of them that you
want to throw away. You can do this by clicking the trash can
at the upper-left corner of the Eudora screen.

4: Read the Others |
After you read a message and dispose of it (either by throwing
it away or by filing it into a mailbox), you will be returned
to the In box list to deal with the remaining messages in the
In box. There is a setting in Tools / Options / Miscellaneous
to open the next message automatically after reading and disposing
of a message, but it only works if the messages have not been
read.
