1: Advertise |
These days we see email addresses everywhere. They're on business
cards, web sites, even in TV commercials. When you compose your
written advertisements for distribution, include your email address.
You'll provide customers with an alternative way of reaching you.
Email is less intrusive than other forms of contact because the
mail waits for you to check it. Business cards with email addresses
are a convenient way of giving your email address to people in
typewritten form.

2: Send a Message |
When you send someone an email, the "from" field of
the message contains your email address. Most email programs provide
a convenient way of adding the sender of a message to the address
book, allowing your contacts to get your address accurately without
even typing it.

3: Set Your Return Address |
To make sure your return address (the address that appears in
the "from" field of messages you send) is correct, go
to the main screen of Eudora, select Tools / Options / Personal
Info and verify the Return Address field. Click OK to save your
changes and dismiss the options window.

4: Give It In Writing |
A typed document or even a handwritten note is more accurate than
the spoken word when it comes to giving someone your email address.

5: Choose Your Address Wisely |
Often you will have the opportunity to choose your own email address,
or at least part of it. You will make things easier for others
trying to type in your email address if you choose easily recognizable
words or names for your email address. Combinations of initials
and names work well, or single-word cute labels that people can
easily remember.
