1: Set Fonts and Display |
Select Tools / Options / Fonts & Display. For Font options,
see the tutorial, "Configure fonts and styles." The
message window width and height, in characters, can be changed
here. Zoom windows means to maximize them. Most users expect windows
to maximize when they appear.

2: Continue Fonts and Display |
You'll probably want to leave the toolbar enabled; it contains
the buttons you've been using. And "tips" refers to
the hover-help labels it shows when you bring your pointer to
a toolbar button, while "status bar" is a small bar
at the bottom of the screen that shows ongoing activities.

3: View Mailbox Columns |
Select the Mailbox Columns category. The list allows you to pick
and choose what fields will be listed in mailbox message lists.
Straighten up your displays by removing fields you don't care
about. Status is a code letter that indicates whether a message
has been read, queued, sent, etc. Most people don't use priority;
it is a method of marking the importance of a message. Attachment
will flag messages with files attached. Most users can uncheck
Priority, Size, and maybe Status and Attachment.

4: Warning! |
Click Extra Warnings and you'll see an impressive list of user-enabled
warning messages. Each of these represents a situation where Eudora
can warn the user, but you may not want it to. Uncheck any of
these warnings you don't want, then click OK to dismiss the options
window.
