| Step
1: Start Address Book |
Although Eudora Light lacks the important feature of address book
organization, it does have an interesting and useful short cut
feature that allows a few email addressees to be quickly recalled
without having to open the address book. This feature is called
the recipient list. Start from Eudora's main screen, and click
the Address Book button.
| Step
2: Make Two Recipients |
Click an entry, and check the "Recipient List" box.
When you do this, the nickname in the left-hand panel becomes
bolded. Do the same with the Mom entry, and exit from the address
book, saving changes.
| Step
3: Start a Message |
Now two entries are on the recipient list. Back on Eudora's main
screen, choose Message / New Message To. Notice the choices for
the email's destination are the recipient list entries. Choose
the Bilbo Baggins entry.
| Step
4: Continue the Message |
Notice that as Eudora prepares us to compose a message to the
chosen recipient, the email address has been placed in the To
list automatically, without having to open the Address Book.
| Step
5: Insert Recipient |
Suppose we want to address the message to Mom as well. While still
sitting in the To field of the email, select Edit / Insert Recipient,
and choose the Mom entry. The recipient is easily added to the
addressee list.
| Step
6: Insert Anywhere |
The Insert Recipient option will place the recipient nickname
wherever we are ready to type. For example, if we are typing the
body of the message and select Edit / Insert Recipient, and the
Mom entry, it will place the word Mom right where we are typing.
If you are in the To or CC fields behind an entry, it will insert
a comma before the Recipient nickname. Continue sending the message
as usual.
