2: Review Titles |
Before you empty trash, make sure you really want to delete the
messages permanently. An easy way to do this is to skim the titles
of the emails you're deleting.

3: Rescue Important Message |
If you see a message that shouldn't be in the trash, transfer
it to another mailbox. You do this just like any other message
transfer: drag it from the trash to the mailbox, or select Transfer.

4: Empty Trash |
By emptying the trash periodically, you gain the advantages of
disk efficiency and faster backups. Select Special / Empty Trash
and the messages you've thrown in the trash will be permanently
deleted.

5: View Window List |
While still in the Trash box, select Window and look at the list
of windows in the drop-down list. There are two active windows,
"trash" and "in." In Eudora you can actually
have several mailboxes active, and several mail messages open,
at the same time, and use the Window menu to move among the open
windows. Normally, this isn't needed.

6: Close Trash |
Click the lower X mark to dismiss the Trash box. You will be returned
to the In mailbox.
