WebMail:
Using the Calendar
Calendar
is a feature of the WebAccess interface that allows you to schedule appointments,
meetings, and send notes.

Configuration:
- Go to the
Calendar tab on the lefthand
side of the window.
- Once in the Calendar screen,
you have the option to create a new Appointment, task, or note. When the
Calendar is first opened, it will automatically display that day's appointments,
notes, and tasks.
- To send any of these, click on Create
<calendar option> and a new screen will open where you may enter
email addresses of people required to attend, those you wish to attend
and those not attending. An appointment/task/note may be set to indicate
that the event will be recurring and how often. Once all information is
entered, click send and it will send the message.
- To check for new Calendar messages,
click on update and that will show any new messages or changes to the
existing messages. In this screen also is the option to see a particular
date and what appointments are already scheduled for that day.
This is a
very useful feature for planning group events, meetings, etc. There are
a few things to remember when using appointments, notes, and tasks.
1. In order
to view a Calendar message correctly, only open calendar messages through
Web Mail; Netscape and Outlook Express are unable to interpret the messages
accurately.
2. When a calendar message is sent, it will appear to the sender as pending
until the recipient either accepts or declines the message. Expect a delay
between when something is accepted by the recipient and when it shows
up as accepted to the sender.
3. Calendar messages should only be sent to people using Web Mail, anyone
else will be unable to accept/decline.
