Mail Description:
Web Mail allows you to access your Assumption University e-mail
from any web browser, anywhere in the world. To begin using WebAccess,
open your web browser and go to http://www.au.edu

The
major components of the screen are:
1.
Left Toolbar
The toolbar on the left side of the window allows you to access the major
areas of WebAccess.
Click the Mailbox button
to view e-mail messages, the Compose
button to compose a new e-mail message, appointment, task, or note, the
Address Book button to access
your personal address book as well as search the system wide address book,
and the Calendar button
to access your personal calendar.
2. Top Toolbar
The toolbar on the top of the window allows you to access
online help for Web Mail, set Au-NetMail Options, or Logout of Web Mail.
3. Folder List
To select one of your mail folders for viewing, simply click the name
of the desired folder. The currently selected mail folder is displayed
in boldface. You may also Add, Delete, or Rename folders from the folder
listing.
4. Current Mailbox Usage
Web Mail displays how much space you are using on the
e-mail server above the folder listing. Usage is displayed in terms of
Megabytes (MB) as well as the percentage of your storage quota that is
in use. Your quota is the maximum amount of disk space you are allowed
to use on the e-mail server, as configured by the Au administrator.
5. Item List
Displays messages in the currently selected folder. If there are more
messages than will fit on one screen, a Next button will appear at the
bottom of the page.
6. Item Toolbar
Allows you to Delete, Move, or Mark messages unread, or perform other
tasks on the messages selected in the Item List. |
